Sherry Preiss is Vice President of Adult and Higher Ed Publishing at Pearson Longman ELT, based in White Plains, NY. Prior to holding this position, Ms. Preiss worked for Longman as an international educational consultant delivering presentations and teacher-training workshops worldwide on topics such as content-based instruction, critical thinking, assessment, technology in the EFL classroom, and web-based learning.  She has been the plenary speaker at major conferences in the U.S., Latin America, Asia and Eastern Europe. Ms. Preiss has also taught for many years in a wide variety of programs -- private language schools, adult education programs, colleges and universities, and corporate language programs. She is also the author of the Longman textbook, NorthStar: Advanced Listening and Speaking, and currently teaches online graduate courses on Learner Assessment for the New School University's TESOL certificate program in New York. She received her MAT in TESOL from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont.
